Pricing and Quotes

Is the quote really free?

Yes, entirely. A plumber has a look and names a price before starting, at no cost regardless of what you decide. Turning it down doesn't cost anything either.

Do prices change once the job starts?

No. The figure agreed before work begins is the figure on the invoice. Anything unforeseen that turns up gets raised with you first, never billed as a surprise afterward.

Do nights, weekends or public holidays cost extra?

Not a dollar more. The price we quote is the price you pay, whatever time the call comes in. Midnight and midday get priced identically.

How do your quotes work?

A plumber inspects the job in person, then sets one fixed price before any work begins. Approve it and that's final, nothing added once the job's underway.

Licensed, Insured and Accountable

What does the Lifetime Labour Warranty cover?

The labour behind every job, specifically. If it's not right, we come back. No questions. No cost. It's unconditional, start to finish.

What is safe to try myself before you arrive?

Shutting the water off at an isolation valve or the meter usually helps and can cut down on damage from a leak. Leave gas matters alone completely. Call (02) 9138 6505 if you're unsure and we'll guide you through it.

Are you licensed and insured?

Both, always. NSW Plumbing Licence #275278C, and public liability cover active for the entire visit.

Can I check your plumbing licence?

Of course, feel free to ask. It's a fair question, and confirming who's doing the work is common sense, not suspicion.

Response and Booking

Do you work weekends and public holidays?

Every weekend, every public holiday, no different from a weekday. Plumbing problems don't wait for the calendar to clear, and neither do we.

What counts as a plumbing emergency?

Flooding, gas odours, no hot water, and a toilet that's stopped working all count as urgent. When damage is happening now or something feels unsafe, that's an emergency, so call.

Are you really open 24/7?

Yes, actually, not just as a tagline. Call at 4am and a licensed plumber answers, not a machine.

How fast can you get here?

Every call gets treated as urgent, and we aim to be on-site fast. How quickly depends on location and what else is on that hour, but you'll get an honest read of it when you ring, not empty reassurance.

Properly Local to Kensington

Why do Kensington's older homes keep us busy?

Kensington's older pocket, especially around Doncaster Avenue, still has plenty of Federation houses and California bungalows running original galvanised supply pipes. Earthenware sewer lines from the same era crack and let roots in over time, which keeps blocked-drain callouts steady.

Which suburbs do you service?

Kensington's home turf, and the run extends to Kingsford, Randwick, Eastlakes, Maroubra and Coogee too. Call (02) 9138 6505 if you're anywhere in that stretch.

Do tree roots really block drains around Kensington?

Regularly, particularly on the older streets with mature trees. Roots work into the joints of ageing earthenware sewer lines, and the shallow water table under parts of Kensington doesn't help drainage once a blockage starts.

Do you work on Kensington's apartments and strata blocks?

Constantly, it's most of the housing here. Around seven in ten Kensington dwellings are flats or units, many of them near the Anzac Parade shopping strip and Peters of Kensington. Turnover picks up around UNSW term dates, and a strata unit gets treated no differently to a house: one price, and updates sent straight to whoever manages the block.
